- AfroBarometer
The AfroBarometer is a longitudinal survey carried out in about 18 African
countries, which measures people’s opinions and attitudes on issues
regarding governance, democracy, livelihoods, conflict and crime, social
capital and trust, national identity, economics and markets, national
identity and social participation. Its waves are from 1999/2000, 2002/2003
and 2005/2006. Data is downloadable.

AsianBarometer
The Asian Barometer is a survey network and research programme on public
opinion on political values, democracy, and governance carried out in 12
countries in East and West Asia. Surveys are from different countries and
years. Wave 1 (8 countries) was carried out in 2001/2002, wave 2 (18
countries) in 2005/2007. Part of the data is available for online analysis
and downloading.

LatinoBarometer
The LatinoBarometer is an annual public opinion survey carried out in 18
countries in Latin America. It started in 1995 and measures people’s
opinions and attitudes regarding economy and international trade, democracy,
social policies, inequality, civic culture, social capital, social
participation, environment, gender and discrimination. Its data are
available for online analysis and can be downloaded.
- PEW Global Attitudes Survey
The PEW Global Attitudes Survey is an annual international survey carried
out by the American PEW Research Centre, since 2001, in over 54 countries.
Its topics vary, and include people’s opinions and attitudes regarding
globalisation, democracy, terrorism, religion, and America. Part of the data
is downloadable.
- The Voice of the
People
The Voice of the People is an annual international survey carried out by
Gallup International, since 2002, in over 60 countries from all continents
of the world. Its topics vary per year, and include people’s opinions and
attitudes regarding governance and democracy, environment, terrorism and
social issues. Data is available in the form of reports and prefabricated
tables and graphs.
- World Values Survey
The World Values Survey (WVS) is a longitudinal study of people’s values and
opinions on a range of topics, carried out in various years and countries
from all continents of the world. The Survey developed from the first
European Values Study (EVS) survey of 1981. Its contents are closely
connected to that of the EVS. Topics include: politics, family values,
religion, work orientations, trust, civic norms, etc. The WVS waves
(1981/1984, 1989/1993, 1994/1999, 1999/2004) cover a varying number of
countries.
