Uruguay is located between Argentina and Brazil, by the Atlantic Ocean. It spans
600 km from north to south and 500 km from east to west.The population of the country is about 3 million
inhabitants, half of which live in the capital, Montevideo.
Uruguay has a mild climate, characteristic of the coastal regions. In winter it is often
rainy and windy but there are several sunny days.The average temperatures in
Montevideo range from 4 C to 15 C. We have no snow in this latitude.
In summer it is warm. You can go to the beach the whole summer season. The
average summer temperatures in Montevideo range from 17 C to 30 C. (Temperatures
in the north are a bit higher).
