Accommodation

Accommodation will be arranged for you by IAESTE or the company. The rent must be paid monthly in advance. We will send you the conditions and address as soon as we have the lodging place confirmed. Bed clothes and cooking facilities will be provided by the landlady.
Upon your arrival you can take your passport to the INJU (Youth National Institute) and ask for a šTarjeta Jovenš which will enable you to get discounts, too.

Public transport:

You must pay 0.7 US Dollars for every trip you take, to the bus driver. In Montevideo, some of the lines run all night through.
You can see all the bus lines numbers and routes at the local yellow pages thelephone directory.

Intercity trips:

There are very few trains for passengers. Intercity trips are made by bus. Tickets for intercity buses are available at the main bus station "Tres Cruces", and on the internet site you can find all the time tables.

There are beautiful places to visit in Uruguay. You shouldn't leave before visiting Punta del Este and all the other seaside resorts in summer. Uruguay is also a perfect starting point to visit other countries in the region.
